This
summer, the WITCH WATCH anime enters its second
cour, and celebrates it in a big way with the release of the uncredited
versions of its new opening and ending. The story
of Nico and his growing group of relatives continues its course, now with new
characters and more magical entanglements ahead.
The second
opening theme, titled "Tokihanate!" and
performed by Hashimero, shows us Nico and his companions, including
newcomer Miharu, in a colorful and lively choreography. The
sequence is brimming with dynamism and charm, perfectly capturing the playful
and chaotic spirit of the series.
A
nostalgic closing with a taste of childhood
In
contrast, the new ending gives us a melancholic and tender vision of the cast
in their childhood. Accompanied by yutori's song "Tsuki
to Watashi no Kakurenbo," this sequence strikes an emotional
chord with the viewer, revealing softer, more personal facets of the main
characters.
A
creative team that keeps the spark going
The
animated adaptation is directed by Hiroshi Ikehata (TONIKAWA:
Over The Moon For You) at Bilbury Animation Studios. The series
is composed by Deko Akao (The Case Study of Vanitas),
while the character design is by Haruko Iizuka (Horimiya).
The original music is composed by Yukari Hashimoto (A Sign
of Affection), and the original manga was created by Kenta
Shinohara (SKET Dance).
