Renowned
voice actress Noriko Hidaka, known for bringing to life characters
such as Noriko Takaya in Gunbuster and Bellemere in One
Piece, once again captures the attention of fans by paying tribute to one
of her most iconic roles: Akane Tendo in Ranma 1/2.
As part of the CrosSSing musical project, Hidaka has performed
the anime's legendary opening theme: "Jajauma ni Sasanaide", also
known in English as "Don't Make Me Wild Like You".
This song
was originally performed by Etsuko Nishio and marked the
opening of the original animated adaptation of Rumiko Takahashi's manga.
It was even previously covered by Rei Sakuma, who played Shampoo,
Akane's love rival. Hidaka's performance not only represents a nostalgic
tribute, but also an emotional reunion with a generation of fans who grew up
with the series.
