The
official site of the upcoming anime A Mangaka's Weirdly Wonderful
Workplace has revealed today the first main trailer along with a
striking key visual. The trailer includes the opening theme titled "Zettai
Shosan!" ("Absolute Praise"), performed by HoneyWorks alongside Hakoniwalily,
a musical duo consisting of Hanon and Kotoha.
New
closing theme and vocals announced
In
addition, the musical project Sizuk, led by composer Shunryu, will
be in charge of the closing theme called "Thankful". As
for the cast, three new seiyuus are added:
- Yu Kobayashi (Sasha Braus in Attack
on Titan) will lend his voice to Arisa Nashida, a veteran
mangaka who was the mentor of protagonist Nana Futami during
her time as an assistant.
- Eriko Matsui (Malida in Good
Bye, Dragon Life) will play Toko Kakunodate, a
professional shogi player and game supervisor in Futami's manga.
- Miharu Hanai (Meroron/Cure Kiss
on You and Idol Precure♪) will play Nekonote, Futami's dedicated assistant.

Details and Full Synopsis
The
animated adaptation of Kuzushiro's comedy manga, A
Mangaka's Weirdly Wonderful Workplace, is scheduled to premiere in Japan
in October 2025. The director is Kaoru Suzuki (My
Roommate is a Cat), while the composition of the series is in charge
of Mio Inoue (Slow Start). The character design is
by Kana Miyai (The Apothecary Diaries) and the music is
composed by Kei Haneoka and Hironori Doi. The
sound direction is led by Ryo Tanaka.
The story
follows Nana Futami, a young shojo mangaka who begins to publish
her work on shogi entitled Subaru e. Although you have the support
of an efficient editor and a reliable assistant, the stress of deadlines
affects your health and creativity, as you struggle with setbacks, nighttime
temptations, and your own overflowing fantasies. Can Futami find happiness in
the demanding life of a mangaka?
