Aniplex announced that Demon
Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle – Akaza Sairai, the first
installment in the new film trilogy, has sold more than 9.1 million
tickets and generated 12.87 billion yen (approximately $87.1
million) in its first 10 days in theaters.
The film
has set a new record in Japan, becoming the fastest film to
surpass 10 billion yen, a mark it reached in just 8 days.
With this, it surpasses the legendary Mugen Train, which had held
that achievement since 2020 and remains the highest-grossing film in the
history of Japanese cinema.

previous global tour.
In
the United States and Canada, it will be released on September
