Success
in Japan and international expectations
Directed
by Haruo Sotozaki and animated by ufotable, the
film debuted in Japan on July 18, 2025, sweeping the box office and
breaking opening records on its first day, best single day, and best opening
weekend. With music by Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina,
and character design by Akira Matsushima, the film aims to repeat
the success on a global level.
Road to
the final battle
The story
picks up after the Pillars Training Arc, where Tanjiro and
his teammates prepare for the ultimate showdown against Muzan Kibutsuji.
During this preparation, the leader of the Demon Hunter Corps is attacked,
causing Tanjiro and the Pillars to be dragged to a mysterious place: Infinity
Castle, a stronghold of the demons. There the final confrontation between
hunters and demons will begin.
Crunchyroll will stream the film after its
theatrical release, along with the TV series and previous installments such
as Mugen Train and the most recent arcs, in subtitled and
dubbed format.
