Japanese
band Paledusk has revealed the official music video
for "HUGs", their explosive debut song under Avex's A.S.A.B
label. This theme has been chosen as the official opening theme of the
anime "Gachiakuta", one of the most anticipated series of
summer 2025. The video is now available on the group's official YouTube channel
and has caused a furor among fans.
A
partnership born of mutual respect
According
to Paledusk's official website, the authors of the original manga, Kei
Urana and graffiti artist Hideyoshi Andou, personally
approached the band with a proposal for them to create an exclusive theme for
the anime. The result was "HUGs," an all-new song that captures the
soul of the work.
Urana
expressed her enthusiasm with these words: "It's an incredibly
passionate song that captures the spirit of the manga, merging it with the
essence of Paledusk. I deeply appreciate that you have marked the beginning of
anime with this work. This is beyond satisfaction!"
Andou also
praised the band: "From the first second, you'll know it's
Paledusk. Its sound force is overwhelming. Don't miss the opportunity to hear
them live."
Immediate
success and confirmed physical launch
Just 24
hours after its release, the video clip for "HUGs" surpassed 100,000
views on YouTube, as reported by the band on its official X account
(formerly Twitter).
In
addition, it has been confirmed that the physical CD of
"HUGs" will be released on September 17, 2025. The cover in both
digital and CD format has already been revealed along with a new promotional
photo of the band.
Gachiakuta:
A descent into hell in style
"Gachiakuta"
is an adaptation of the original manga by Urana and Andou, and has
an outstanding production team. Fumihiko Suganuma (DRAGON
QUEST: The Adventure of Dai) directs the series at Studio Bones,
while Hiroshi Seko (DAN DA DAN) is in charge of the
composition of the series. Character design and animation direction are
by Satoshi Ishino (Godzilla Singular Point), with music
by Taku Iwasaki (Gurren Lagann).
The anime
had its premiere in Japan on July 6, 2025, and is available for
streaming through Crunchyroll in territories such as Europe,
America, Africa, and more.
A story
from the abyss
The story
follows Rudo, a young man who lives in the suburbs of a floating
city where the rich throw their garbage into the void. Falsely accused of
murder, he is exiled to the depths along with the waste. There, in a hellish
world plagued by monsters born from garbage, Rudo must join a group called
the Cleaners to survive, uncover the truth, and seek revenge.
