Takuto Teranishi debuts as a voice actor

One of the big surprises of the announcement was the addition of Takuto Teranishi, a member of the boy band timelesz, who will play Suguru Kagami. This character is a university student and innovative entrepreneur who researches the direct connection between smartphones and the human brain, which gives him great international recognition.

Kawamori praised Teranishi's talent, noting, "I had already seen his work in theater and was impressed by the breadth of his performance. Suguru is a mysterious and ambitious man, a difficult role to play... but he managed to express the complex emotions of the character with charm."

New talent cast and production

Along with the announcement, the visual of Suguru Kagami's character was presented, as well as photographs of the actor in the recording booth with Suzuka, vocalist of ATARASHII GAKKO!, who also debuts in dubbing with this production.

The film is directed by Shōji Kawamori at the SANJIGEN studio (BanG Dream!). Character designs are in charge of Risa Ebata (Macross Frontier), while Taichi Hashimoto (Revisions) is in charge of the script.

History between the real and virtual worlds

The plot follows Shiori Maezawa, an ordinary high school student whose life changes when her smartphone breaks and she suddenly finds herself alone in an alternate world that replicates the city of Yokohama. When she checks her device, she discovers photos posted on social networks where she appears, but that she does not remember having taken. From there, Shiori must discover who is behind those images and how to escape this disturbing digital labyrinth.
