The
anime adaptation of Wandance, based on the Coffee manga, revealed a new main
visual that shows the characters in energetic poses, highlighting the
dynamism of the dance-centric story. Along with the illustration, advance
screenings were also confirmed before the official premiere.
Special
screenings in Tokyo
Ahead of
its debut in October 2025, two special events will be held at
Tokyo's Shinjuku Piccadilly cinema on September 27.
The first screening will be at 08:45 (Spain) with an event on
the back stage, while the second will take place at 11:05 (Spain), including
a presentation before the screening.
Both
performances will feature lead voice actors Koki Uchiyama, Hina
Yomiya, Ayaka Suwa, and Toshiki Masuda, accompanied
by dancer KAITA, a member of the dance cast.

Equipment
The anime
is directed by Michiya Kato, who is also in charge of the script
and visual effects, in a co-production of Studios MADHOUSE and CYCLONE
GRAPHICS. Renowned K-Pop choreographer RIEHATA is
involved as a dance producer, while Satoshi Tazaki and Daiki
Imamura are working on character design and animation direction. The
series will premiere in October 2025 within the IMAnimation
W programming block.
About
the original manga
The Wandance manga
has been published in Monthly Afternoon magazine since January
2019 and to date has 13 compilation volumes. Kodansha USA distributes
the English edition.
The story
follows Kaboku Kotani, a high school freshman who is often kept low
profile due to his stutter. Everything changes when he meets Hikari
Wanda, a girl who dances with total freedom regardless of the looks.
Inspired by her, Kaboku decides to join the dance club, thus taking his first
step into a new world where every move brings him closer to freedom and
himself.
