A few days
before its premiere in Japan, on October 2, the anime A
Star Brighter Than the Sun presented a new trailer. The
trailer highlights the relationship between Sae and Koki,
accompanied by the theme song "Saishin-banashi" performed
by Wanuka, also known for his work in A Salad Bowl of
Eccentrics.

The
direction is in charge of Sayaka Kobayashi (My Love Story
with Yamada-kun at Lv999) at Studio KAI. The series is
composed by Yasuhiro Nakanishi (Kaguya-sama: Love Is War),
while the character design is in the hands of Jin Feng Zeng. The
music is composed by Natsumi Tabuchi and Miki Sakurai (The
Quintessential Quintuplets). The original manga was created by Kazune
Kawahara.
A story
of tangled feelings
The manga,
officially published in English by VIZ Media, tells the life
of Sae and Koki, childhood friends whose
relationship changes with the arrival of adolescence. Sae discovers that Koki
has matured and begins to feel more than just friendship for him. However, she
is not the only one who is interested in Koki, which triggers a love triangle
full of doubts and emotions. The big question is: who will Koki choose?
