Publisher
Pony Canyon announced
that Hekiru Hikawa's Hanaori-san wa Tensei Shitemo Kenka ga
Shitai manga will receive an anime adaptation with a
confirmed premiere in 2026. The project also unveiled its first visual teaser
and revealed its official international title: Hanaori-san Still Wants
to Fight in the Next Life.
A
peculiar manga that will make the leap to anime
Hanaori-san's story follows its protagonist
in a context of reincarnation, but with a comic twist: even in his new life,
what he wants most is to continue fighting. This distinctive approach has made
it a title with its own personality within the Kodansha catalog.
Details
of the original manga
The work
began publication in August 2021 in Kodansha's Morning two magazine.
The first compilation volume was released in February 2022 and, to date, the
series will reach its eighth volume, scheduled to be published next
Monday.
Hekiru
Hikawa's legacy
The author
is already known for Pani Poni, a manga published between 2000 and
2011 in Square Enix's Monthly G Fantasy magazine, which also
inspired an anime adaptation. With Hanaori-san, Hikawa returns to
the scene with a proposal that mixes humor and action under the ever-popular
theme of reincarnation.
