After a string of logistical stumbles,
the production committee behind the animated
adaptation of Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle (Chitose-kun
wa Ramune Bin no Naka) finally brought good news for its fans. Through a
new promotional video, the publisher Kadokawa officially confirmed that the
eventful second part of the series will land on Japanese
television during the October season. To celebrate the
announcement and warm up engines, the franchise also revealed
a commemorative illustration for a special event in collaboration with Fukui
Prefecture, which will be held from late August through November.
The followers of this little school jewel know
perfectly well that the first broadcast was a real calendar disaster. What
began last October ended up suffering severe delays due to production problems,
pushing key episodes until December and forcing the final three episodes to air
at once during the spring. Fortunately, it seems that the feel. studio
has already managed to get the house in order. The director's chair is still
occupied by Yuji Tokuno, while the scripts maintain their
authenticity as they are supervised by Naruhisa Arakawa in direct conjunction
with the creator of the original work, author Hiromu.
The Difficult Task of the Perfect Student
For those who still don't give this
popular light novel illustrated by raemz a
chance, the premise moves away from the classic losing protagonist to put us in
the shoes of Chitose Saku. He's basically the golden boy at Fujishi High School
in Fukui Prefecture: athletic, smart, and with enviable social skills that keep
him surrounded by the school's popular elite. However, his comfortable student
life takes a dramatic turn when he is assigned the complicated mission of
convincing a totally withdrawn and socially isolated student to set foot in a
classroom again, triggering an intense and emotional story of youthful
self-discovery.
Considering the chaotic history of delays that
dragged the first half of the series
