An
apocalypse full of the undead doesn't have to be depressing when faced in good
company. The animated adaptation of the manga #I'm Looking for Zombie (#Zombie
Sagashitemasu) finally revealed its main trailer and a new promotional
image to set its television premiere date for October 3.
The new
video trailer allowed us to listen to a preview of the musical themes that will
accompany this youth adventure. Singer Surii will perform the opening
theme titled "Raki Raki," while the group cadode will perform
the closing theme song with the song "Soft Apocalypse." Along with
the musical display, the production confirmed the addition of renowned talents
to the voice cast, highlighting Yoko Hikasa as Mikazuki, Makoto
Koichi in the role of Toka, Tomoyo Takayanagi playing Takamo, Aino
Shimada as Saigo and Kosuke Toriumi voicing the protagonist's
missing father. They join the previously announced main cast that features Miyari
Nemoto as Aki, Lynn as Natsuki, Toshiya Miyata playing Haru, Hibiku
Yamamura as Yu and Yuka Nukui in the role of Sakura.
Behind the
scenes, animation house Studio Comet is handling the production under
the direction of Shinya Une, who is supported by Kyohei Suzuki in
assistant direction. The supervision and writing of the scripts is in the hands
of Kenichi Yamashita and Aki Itami, while Narumi Shimoji
performs the character design and Kenta Higashiohji composes the
soundtrack. The technical section is complemented by Masatoshi Muto in
the art direction, Ryota Katsuta and Maki Yamamoto in charge of
the color design, and Yayoi Tateishi in the sound direction.

#I'm Looking for Zombie
Based on
the work written and illustrated by Katsuwo, the original manga began
serialization in Kadokawa's Comic Dengeki DaiohG magazine in June 2022,
concluding its publication in January 2024 with three compilation volumes. The
story is set thirteen years after the so-called "Red Day", a
catastrophe where ninety percent of humanity died from a deadly virus to be
resurrected as zombies. The plot follows Aki and her close friends Haru and
Natsuki, young people belonging to a new generation born after the collapse who
decide to embark on a journey outside the shelters to find Aki's father.
