A bucket of
cold water for those who expected a good dose of suspense and high-risk bets.
The official website for the anime adaptation of the Junket Bank manga
confirmed on Wednesday that the series will no longer premiere in October as
planned, postponing its release on television indefinitely.
According
to the official statement issued by the production, this decision responds to
scheduling problems in the animation process, so the team requires more time to
deliver a product with the right quality. At the moment a new debut date has
not been set, assuring that they will announce the new broadcast window as soon
as the project manages to reorganize.
For this
adaptation, the CUE studio left the direction in the hands
of Seiji Kishi, recognized for his work at the helm of Assassination
Classroom. The main scripts are by Makoto Fukami, while Masanori
Shino is in charge of character design and acclaimed composer Taku
Iwasaki creates the soundtrack. The main cast features the voices
of Soma Saito as Shin Mafutsu, Rikuya Yasuda as
Akira Mitarai, Wataru Hatano as Keiichi Shishigami, Daisuke
Hirakawa as Reiji Murasame, and Koki Uchiyama as
Haruto Hinagata.
