The Mayor of Seki City in Gifu Prefecture, Kenji Ozeki, announced on February 9 that he will present the “Citizen of Honor Award” to singer LiSA, the singer of the song “Homura”, which was used for the film Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Ressha-hen in 2020, the same one that has broken collection records in the entire history of Japan. LiSA is now the second person to receive this recognition, after Yoshinori Tsuchiya previously obtained it as a "living national treasure" of Japan, for her skills in monsha (delicate patterned chiffon fabric). On the other hand, the mayor mentioned during his press conference: "LiSA is inspiring many young people in the City of Seki, so we hope that she will continue to play such an important role in the future."
On the other hand, LiSA's single “Homura” recently received Platinum Streaming Certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ), having surpassed 100 million views through certified streaming services. The single has obtained this certification only 81 days after its release, becoming the single that has obtained the certification faster.
The CD for this single (not the digital one) also received Platinum Certification from the association on December 16, 2020, having exceeded 250,000 units sold. In addition, it is worth mentioning that “Homura” was recognized as Song of the Year in the sixty-second edition of the Japan Record Awards held at the end of 2020. Finally, LiSA also participated in the NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen, the most important stage in Japan, for the second year in a row on New Years Eve 2021.
