A press release said that the manga written and illustrated by Soborou , “ Nande Koko ni Sensei ga!? ( Why the Hell are You Here, Teacher!? )” will end in the October 22 issue of Weekly Young Magazine . With this, the work comes to a conclusion after seven years of serialization, although it was actually suspended for four years.

The work went into indefinite suspension in mid-2020 when author Soborou announced that he had to temporarily stop due to health issues , such as ear problems and worsening tendonitis. Later in 2022, he resumed his activity with the serialization of “Love and Peace” in Monthly Shonen Magazine, but due to scheduling conflicts, “Nande Koko ni Sensei ga!?” remained on hiatus until August 2024.

For his part, Soborou began publishing the manga in Kodansha 's Weekly Young Magazine in April 2017. The work inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by Tear Studio , under the direction of Toshikatsu Tokoro and scripts written by Yuuki Takabayashi , released in Spring-2019 (April-June) .

Synopsis of Nande Koko ni Sensei ga!?

Ichirou Satou, a second-year high school student, has always been a normal person, until he finds himself in some not-so-normal situations with his teacher, Kana “The Demon” Kojima. Kojima is Satou’s Japanese language teacher and has a reputation for being so ruthless that even school delinquents bow down to her. One fateful day, things get complicated when Satou runs into Kojima in the bathroom, leading them to share an intimate encounter that blows their minds for days.
