The anime
adaptation of Nikumaru 's Bad Girl manga
has revealed new details in its latest promotional video. The anime will
premiere on July 6 at 12:00 a.m. (UTC+2) via multiple
streaming platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, DMM TV, and ABEMA ,
among others. It will then premiere on television channels such as Tokyo
MX and BS11 that same day at 1:00 a.m.
(UTC+2) .
The trailer
also gives us our first glimpse of the opening theme song, “Super Big
Love!” , performed by the group Tenrogun , which
promises to provide a vibrant backdrop for the protagonists’ hectic school
life.
A high
school comedy with very unconventional girls
The story
follows Yū Yutani , an exemplary first-year high school
student. However, in order to capture the attention of the beautiful and strict
disciplinary committee president, Atori Mizutori , she decides
to adopt the role of a rebellious girl, unleashing a series of chaotic and
comical situations.

Production

The anime
is directed by Takeshi Furuta ( Shaman King 2021)
under the Bridge studio . The series composition is in charge
of Shoji Yonemura ( Pokémon , Fairy
Tail ), while Yūki Morimoto is in charge of the
character designs. The soundtrack is composed by Arisa Okehazama ,
known for her work on Jujutsu Kaisen and The
Apothecary Diaries .
The series
will premiere in North America on July 5 at Anime Expo ,
and will be available on HIDIVE for the rest of the world.
From the
pages of manga to the screen
Bad Girl
was born as a four-panel manga published in Houbunsha 's Manga Time Kirara
Carat magazine since December 2020. Its fourth compiled book
volume was released in July 2024 in Japan.
This new
comedy promises to delight fans of the genre with its unique blend of high
school romance, mischief, and a whole lot of charisma.
