The Tokyo
Anime Award Festival (TAAF) has officially confirmed that its next edition,
TAAF2026, will take place from March 13 to 16, 2026, in the Ikebukuro area of
central Tokyo. The information was released on its official website.
A tradition
celebrating animation globally
This annual
festival, which emerged as an independent evolution of the Tokyo Anime Award
held between 2002 and 2013, has been organized since 2014 by the TAAF Executive
Committee, together with the Japan Animation Association and the Tokyo
Metropolitan Government.
The 2026
edition will mark the 13th anniversary of the event in its current format. Its
goal remains clear: to foster new talent, promote animation culture and
industry, and boost tourism in Tokyo, all under the motto: “TOKYO is the HUB of
contemporary ANIMATION.”
