The
long-awaited film based on Uoto's 100 METERS sports manga has
released a new trailer and official visual showing
protagonists Komiya and Togashi facing off in
a thrilling sprint race. The poster highlights Komiya in a blue uniform and
Togashi in red, both sweating and in full action.
Official
Hige Dandism will perform the title track
The
Japanese band Official Hige Dandism will be in charge of the
official theme of the film, entitled "Rashisa", which
is already playing in the new audiovisual trailer. This musical collaboration
adds an emotional charge that perfectly accompanies the intensity of the plot.
Release
date and international distribution
The film
will be released in Japan on September 19, 2025, so in a few months
it will be fully enjoyable. In addition, its distribution in North American
theaters will be in charge of GKIDS, scheduled for October of
the same year.
A
captivating story of rivalry and overcoming
Directed
by Kenji Iwaisawa and produced by the Rock 'n' Roll
Museum studio, the film adapts the manga serialized in Magazine
Pocket between 2019 and 2023. The story follows Togashi, a
prodigy runner who has mastered 100-meter races as a child, until he
meets Komiya, a transfer student who struggles with technique but
not will. The rivalry between the two is transformed into a relationship of
learning and competition that changes their lives.
