While Sousou no Frieren returns this week to Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine, artist Tsukasa Abe, responsible for the illustrations of the acclaimed manga, has also taken a moment to pay tribute to one of the romantic anime of the season.

Abe shared a special illustration of Kazuki Mikadono, one of the protagonists of the anime Dealing with Mikadono Sisters Is a Breeze, highlighting her elegant style and characteristic princely air.

An unexpected artistic crossover

The illustration was published on social networks and quickly went viral among fans of both works. Abe's distinctive stroke gives Kazuki a new lease of life, generating positive feedback about the crossover of styles between Frieren and the Mikadono sisters' romantic comedy.

A romantic comedy with a lot of character

The original Dealing with Mikadono manga Sisters Is a Breeze is the work of Aya Hirakawa and has been published since December 2021 in the Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine, under the Shogakukan publishing house.

The anime adaptation is being handled by the P.A.WORKS studio, with Tadahito Matsubayashi directing, Takayo Ikami composing the series, Yusuke Inoue character designing, and Masaru Yokoyama music.

What is this story about?

The series, currently available on Crunchyroll, follows the story of Yu Ayase, an average boy who is the son of a legendary actress. One day he is invited to live with the family of a friend of his late mother, but discovers that his new home is inhabited by three prodigy sisters: beautiful, talented, and dominant in their school, known as "The Three Empresses."

On a mission to fulfill his mother's last wish – to start a happy family – Yu will have to find a way to break the ice with the three imposing sisters and discover if it is possible to live together in harmony under the same roof.

Abe's artistic gesture demonstrates how appreciation between authors and works transcends genres, surprising fans with unexpected collaborations and visual celebrations.
