The
Strongest Man, Born From Misfortune joins the list of isekai that will make
the leap to anime. Publisher Starts Publishing announced
that Fukufuku's work will have a television adaptation, and to
commemorate the news, illustrator Zun Nakabayashi, responsible for
both the illustrations of the novels and the manga version, shared a special
illustration.
An
isekai that has managed to win over its audience
The story
began on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō portal in November 2020, and
since then it has not stopped growing in popularity. The first printed volume
arrived in March 2022 under the Starts Publishing label, and as of today the
saga has more than 1.5 million copies in circulation, confirming
that it is one of the new jewels of the isekai genre.
The
manga is also still going on
In addition
to the novels, Zun Nakabayashi released the manga adaptation
in October 2021 through the digital magazine Comic Glast. This
format has also had a great reception, and its compilation volume number 8 will
arrive on September 26, thus expanding the scope of the franchise
before the premiere of the anime.
A plot
marked by adversity
The premise
of The Strongest Man, Born From Misfortune focuses on a
protagonist who, despite being hit by misfortunes time and time again, manages
to find in them the spark that drives him to grow and transform into someone
much more powerful than he would have ever imagined. An approach that promises to
give freshness to an already well-explored genre.
The
announcement of the anime has rekindled interest in the work, and everything
points to the fact that the production will seek to maintain the spirit of
overcoming and fighting against adversity that characterizes the story.
