The
tradition of the magical girls of Studio Pierrot is renewed for a new
generation. It has been officially announced that the Magical Sisters
LuluttoLilly anime will begin airing on television in April
2026. This production marks the most recent entry in the studio's
long-running "Pierrot Magical Girl Series."
Along with
the confirmation of the premiere, the main visual and the first promotional
video were revealed, as well as announcing that the K-pop group ILLIT will
perform the opening track titled "Bubee."

About the story
The plot
centers on sisters Fu and Rui, who have recently drifted apart. One day, they
both gain magical powers from a mysterious spaceship that allows them to
transform into the adult idols they dream of being. However, there are
conditions: their powers will only last for one year, and they must keep their
identity a secret. Unknowingly, both sisters begin their careers as magical
idols by hiding the truth from each other.
